Two of the best teams the NBA's Western Conference has to offer square off in a Texas-sized matchup when the Rockets take on the Spurs. San Antonio has been one of the top teams this year at 30-13, good for second in the West. The Spurs have also shown they're the top roadblock for the Thunder in terms of repeating as champs this year as San Antonio has won three of the four matchups between those two teams. As for the Rockets, they're 25-15 in Kevin Durant's first year in Houston, good for fifth in the Western Conference entering Tuesday night. The Spurs have won three in a row and the Rockets have won two straight. The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every NBA game 10,000 times, has issued not one, but two "A" grades for this matchup, including backing Over 221.5 points with that side of the total hitting in nearly 60% of simulations.
The Oilers have started to move up the standings in the Pacific Division after an uneven start, and the two-time defending Western Conference champs' next test is hosting the Devils. Edmonton is second in the Pacific Division with 58 points, trailing Vegas by two. The Devils are sixth in the Metropolitan Division with 52 points, but are still very much in arm's reach of a playoff berth. New Jersey is 5-5-0 over its last 10 while Edmonton is 5-3-2 over its last 10, picking up wins in each of its last two games.
