"In Cesc We Trust." So it goes at Como, as Cesc Fabregas now looks to have a legitimate contender for a spot in Europe after the lakesiders cruised to a third win on the spin at Pisa on Tuesday. Not only that, but it's three clean sheets in a row for French GK Jean Butez, as Como continues its unmistakable pattern of grabbing points (mostly three) against sides beneath them in the Serie A table. That would include Bologna, sitting 8th, though the Rossoblu have been stumbling of late and on a five-match winless run in league play into Saturday. Como have played eight matches at home so far this season, and are still, unbeaten. Eight matches played, 18 points acquired, five wins and three draws. Como at home have taken points off giants like Juventus and Lazio, both matches saw them winning 2-0. The combination of Como flying high and Bologna failing to win any of their last five should help Como continue their domination. Como continue their season of brilliance under manager Cesc. The most impressive thing about Como, besides the fact that they're currently top six in Serie A, is their defense. They currently have the joined best defense alongside Roma, conceding only 12 times over their opening 18 matches. They've also been an absolute fortress at home, with only a single home match seeing over 2.5 goals this season. I'm expecting a CLASSIC 1-0 win for Como against a struggling Bologna side.
