Tuesday MLB trading preview
The Milwaukee Brewers face the Chicago Cubs tonight in the second game of a critical matchup that features two teams fighting hard for postseason positioning. The Brewers have the top spot in the National League and lead the NL Central by seven games. The Cubs currently are tied for the first spot in the NL Wild Card picture. Last night, Chicago capped off a record-setting August by setting a single-game franchise record with nine home runs to bring them to a total of 62 for the month. The Cubs' Alex Bregman, who homered three times yesterday, is trading for $0.17 per share to have a home run. Matthew Boyd, who is 17-3 with a 3.51 ERA in 24 games at Wrigley Field, is trading at $0.61 per share to strike out four or more batters. Chicago is priced at $0.55 per share to beat Milwaukee, which is priced at $0.47 per share on Kalshi.
The San Francisco Giants and the Pittsburgh Pirates start their exciting matchup tonight, which has major NL seeding implications. The Braves, who lead the NL East by four games, are currently third overall in the NL Wild Card picture, and the Giants are on the outside looking in, leading into tonight's action. Logan Webb, who only allowed two runs and six strikeouts in his last start, is priced at $0.60 per share to have five or more strikeouts. Paul Skenes is on the hill for Pittsburgh, and he is trading at $0.59 per share on Kalshi to strike out six or more hitters. The Pirates are priced at $0.61 per share to beat the Giants, who are trading at $0.40 per share, and seven or more runs in tonight's meeting is also trading at $0.50 per share on Kalshi.
