VGK is apparently going to be missing a few key cogs who are on their way back from the Winter Olympics, including Mark Stone, Shea Theodore, and Mitch Marner, with Jack Eichel also likely missing tonight. Still, we suspect this is a decent price, as various other links are avaialble, as the likes of Pavel Dorofeyev and Ivan Barbashev can carry some of the scoring load. Nte that right before the Olympic break, Vegas (with most hands on deck) scored a 4-1 win over the Kings. Vegas appears to be punting on this game with half the roster ruled out (Stone, Eichel, Marner among) post-Olympics. Trust me, I have learned in the past couple of weeks in a betting Death Star spiral -- I need Luke's X-wing proton torpedoes to destroy the thermal exhaust port -- that key guys out/logic does not matter sometimes. It's also the Kings debut of major trade acquisition Artemi Panarin, so the team should have a little extra juice. The only thing I don't like is that it's No. 2 Anton Forsberg in net as I'd prefer Darcy Kuemper, but DK goes tomorrow. I can't win at college basketball/NBA lately. But on paper, there is no way the Kings should lose (so 1.5 U).

Vegas could face a division rival without arguably it's 5 best players in Jack Eichel and Noah Hanifin (still celebrating with Team USA) and a trio of top Canadians in Mitch Marner, Shea Theodore, and Mark Stone potentially being rested after missing practice on Tuesday. If all five players are out this line will move one way and it's worth getting ahead of it today with an educated line-up guess.
