It's Utah's first road game in about three weeks and the Mammoth are two under .500 away. Nashville has turned its season around and a bit more importance today simply as a road trip is up next and teams obviously like to start those with some momentum. The Preds can't really give away home points after the huge hole they dug early this season in terms of a possible playoff spot. Juuse Saros has been better at home with a 2.81 GAA and 12-8-2 mark. Certainly may push and I'm paying for that OT insurance. This was moved up a couple of hours due to wintry weather. Haha don't miss that. The Preds are 3-1-1 all-time in the series.

Not sure the Preds have had a more-exciting win in their two-month uptick than Thursday's 5-3 win the Sens, rallying from 3-0 down and capping things with goals from Steven Stamkos and Cole Smith (Smith's an empty-netter) in the last 1:13. Utah looks to change the Nashville narrative this afternoon at Bridgestone Arena and arrives on a four-game win streak, but also hasn't played a road game in almost three weeks, and wondering about wear and tear on GK Karel Vejmelka, in the nets an eleventh straight game today.
