On Saturday, we were thinking the Sharks were going with Yaroslav Askarov in goal vs. . the Sens, but instead it was Alex Nedeljkovic in a 3-2 San Jose loss. Expect Askarov to be in the nets tonight vs. the Bruins, and that has made a difference in November for San Jose. In his seven starts this month, Askarov has posted some impressive numbers in goal...1.54 GAA and .957 saves among them. Moreover, the Sharks have won in six of his seven starts this month. For the Bruins, the California road trip continues after splitting a pair vs. the Ducks and Kings in So Cal. Boston has flattened a bit the past two weeks, losing three of its last five. That was the seventh under in the past eight games for San Jose, which, outside of Macklin Celebrini, continues to have issues scoring goals. The power play has been short-circuiting, but San Jose is remaining in many of these games thanks to good work in goal. After Alex Nedlejkovic worked the 3-2 loss to Ottawa on Saturday, Yaroslav Askarov likely in the nets today after posting some superb November numbers to date (including 1.54 GAA and .9617 saves in seven starts). Quite irked how college football ended after such a great start, but I guess "I can't have nice things." Can't complain about hockey lately, though. Feel I have found a sweet spot like soccer: Home dogs. I'm likely playing +1 on this at a better price. I'm not sure why we aren't getting that. But this is fine and maybe preferred if you don't mind the extra $$. Find it kinda funny the books keep doing this on the Sharks, who are simply printing money lately. And we get their better goalie in the second of a B2B (that is a minor worry but didn't travel) in Yaroslav Askarov. Our boy Y.A. has a 1.54 GAA this month.
