Worse things to do than simply riding the Blackhawks, who continue to impress everyone save, it seems, the oddsmakers! Five wins in the last six is the latest indicator that it's not business as usual the past few seasons in Chicago. While Connor Bedard rightly grabs a lot of the headlines, it's a defense that's allowed just 11 goals across those past six games (only ten in regulation time) that also impresses. Spencer Knight in goal is also 7-3-3 this season, with a 2.42 GAA and .925 saves. The Kraken have been having some problems scoring on the road, such as the the last two (losses at Dallas and Detroit; just 3 goals scored), which looms a problem tonight. Play Blackhawks on Money Line
Absolutely zero respect for the surging Blackhawks -- easily the most fun they have been to watch since the end of that tri-Cup run. Connor Bedard is definitely starting to get it. So I really don't understand why arguably the better overall team is getting some OT insurance at home. I doubt that will be the case much longer so I'll pounce. Again, my OT/shootout sanity has no price tag. Only reason I didn't play Chicago last time out vs. Calgary was because untrustworthy Hawks No. 2 Arvid Soderblom was in net. Barring something unforeseen, it will be back to No. 1 Spencer Knight here. The Hawks won a future Stanley Cup, in my opinion (few years away), when they got him from Florida.
