Game 4 was redemption of sorts for Stuart Skinner, back into goal for Edmonton after Cal Pickard's leg injury in Game 2 vs. VGK. Pickard was 6-0 in his playoff starts and Skinner 0-3 before he pitched the shutout on Monday, when VGK looked genuinely flustered. The return of Evander Kane to active duty for the playoffs, and putting him on Zach Hyman's line, has added extra bite to the Oilers offense. We saw this in Game 4 when Kane set the tone early with a goal and generally getting into the faces of the Golden Knights. VGK was on the brink in the opening round vs. Minnesota and not giving signs it can rally back in this series. Play Oilers on the Money Line.
VGK is on the verge of getting knocked out and hasn't been able to put the clamps on the Edmonton weaponry this series, as the Oilers have scored three or more in each game. Evander Kane has become an antagonist to Vegas as he has joined the Zach Hyman line, while McDavid, Draisaitl and the rest look confident they can solve Adin Hill. Stuart Skinner is apparently back in the nets for Edmonton and he was his sharpest of the playoffs in the 3-0 shutout on Monday, but the Oilers are scoring (21 goals their last five games), and if VGK trails late, it could pull Hill earlier than normal and leave the net exposed, when scorelines can increase. Play Oilers-Golden Knights Over.
I'm not super-confident on this so will limit to a half unit, but this is a division champion facing elimination in a home game. We love desperate, good teams at home. Vegas did lose the first two there of this series but was 29-9-3 at home during the RS. Good for Edmonton's Stuart Skinner for snapping out of his slump with the very unlikely Game 4 home shutout. But he was blowtorched his two road starts in the first round in LA and then benched. Knights netminder Adin Hill a 1.02 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage in two career elimination games.
