We have a pattern to note in this Dallas-Winnipeg matchup. Six meetings already this season, including these first two in the second round of the playoffs in the West, and never more than five goals scored in any of those. Thus, six straight under results between the Stars and Jets, and Connor Hellebuyck off of his best postseason effort in Game 2 when helping spin a 4-0 Winnipeg win, his first shutout in these playoffs. Our concerns is how the Jets were strafed on the road in the previous road at St Louis, with Hellebuyck pulled each game, but the series under trends are compelling, and Jake Oettinger is looking comfy in the Dallas net. Let's see the Jets do that again...this time on the road. That 4-0 win in Game 2 over Dallas might have been the best Winnipeg effort yet of the postseason, and the first shutout recorded by Connor Hellebuyck in goal. Playing desperate when down 1-0 in the series, Winnipeg got off to a fast start, helped by a fluke ricochet goal to get off to an early 2-0 lead. Hellebuyck was good but now he and Winnipeg are on the road, where the Jets have been outscored 17-5 in three previous playoff games at St Louis, Hellebuyck pulled each time. Jake Oettinger and the Stars won't blink at this assignment after taking out the Avs in the first round. Play Stars on Money Line

To quote Chandler Bing (actually didn't much care for that show): "Did you seeeeee Connor Hellebuyck in Round 1 on the road?" I'm pretty sure Chandler didn't say that specifically, but you get the drift. It may have been Monica now that I think about it. Whatever. Done thinking about "Friends" for 2025. The sure-fire Vezina winner Hellebuyck was awful in St. Louis in those three first-round games, pulled in each, and while his road splits during the RS were good, they were significantly worse than at home. If one gets by him early, I tend to think his confidence just erodes immediately. That's why I'll go ahead and risk a push at -1 at a really good price instead of Stars ML at -140ish.
