Nothing easy for the Caps despite their 3-1 series lead. Washington was full out to win Games One and Two at Cap One and was down midway in the third period of Game Four before a fluky bouncing puck allowed Brandon Duhaime to tie the game, and three goals in the last four minutes (including a pair of empty-netters) distorted the final scoreline. But Montreal has been skating with the Caps in this series, and the Canadiens are getting their shots, especially Cole Caufield, with a series-leading 21 on goal. Washington goes again with rookie Jakub Dobes in goal, though he has mostly been up to the challenge. This series can get back to the Bell Centre on Friday night. Play Canadiens on Money Line
Somewhat the same boat as last night as to why we are playing -1 instead of the moneyline -- although the Tuesday play was moot since Ottawa was an upset winner. But with Montreal down 3-1, the Habs will be pulling their goalie much earlier than they would in a RS game if they trail by a goal in the third period. And No. 1 netminder Sam Montembeault is out again as is top-six forward Patrik Laine -- one of the league's top goalscorers on the power play during the RS. Top-six blueliner Alexandre Carrier is in doubt. Rookie netminder Jakub Dobes makes his first playoff road start for Montreal. The Capitals truly have no right losing this game and going back to Canada.
