We wonder if Patrick Roy is riding Ilya Sorokin a bit too hard in goal for the Islanders. Marcus Hogberg was in the net on Saturday vs. Calgary, but Sorokin was back on the ice on Monday vs. Columbus in the 4-3 OT loss. That makes it sixteen out of eighteen games for the Isles that Sorokin has been in the cage. With five teams chasing the last East playoff berth, Roy seems like he will ride Sorokin as long as he can. Meanwhile, pressure is on the Canucks (who have 2 games in-hand) to keep the Blues within sight at the West cut-line, and note that Vancouver's' last four games have all featured 7 goals or more. Huge game for both as they chase a wild-card spot. Kevin Lankinen is the probable goaltender, and he has lost five of seven. The Nucks are again down forwards Filip Chytil (26 points), Nils Hoglander (21 points) and Elias Pettersson (45 points). New York's Ilya Sorokin has had a strong March at 6-2-2 with a 2.58 GAA and he's the main reason for this play.
