We got fooled last night by Jim Montgomery, who started Jordan Binnington in goal at Anaheim instead of waiting for this game at LA; iJoel Hofer now goes in the nets tonight up the I-5 against the Kings. Hofer is itching to get back on the ice after a poor showing last Sunday at Dallas when pulled after the first period, though he did win his previous start a week ago Thursday against the Caps. Moreover, the Blues are making a serious move towards a West playoff berth with six wins in seven following last night's 4-3 win over the Ducks. Note the Kings are winless in five, including three nights ago in OT vs. the Blues at Crypto.com. Play Blues on Money Line
Bit of an unusual situation as it's the second home game in a row against the Blues for the Kings, but St. Louis did play last night in Anaheim after a 3-2 shootout upset win in LA on Wednesday. I assume there's a reason the NHL computer spat out the Blues going Kings-Ducks-Kings instead of Kings-Kings-Ducks or, you know, Duck-Duck-Goose (Holy Summer Camp Memories Batman!). Jordan Binnington beat LA on Wednesday (loss for us) and Anaheim last night, but it will be Joel Hofer here. He has a 3.49 road GAA.
