Marc-Andre Fleury is slated to be honored tonight in Minnesota, ironically against his old Penguins team. The testimonial atmosphere could well work in favor of the Wild, whose defense has been better since before the All-Star break and keyed a 2-1 win out of the break vs. the Blackhawks. For whatever reason, when Pittsburgh and Minnesota meet, they love to score goals. Since 2019, these teams have played seven times. Six of those games flew over, averaging 8.43 goals/game across the seven meetings. That's the type of history we're happy to follow here. On paper, Pittsburgh looks poised to carry the load scoring, but there is a power play edge that favors Minnesota, which would most certainly help the cause on our path to 6+ goals in this one.
