It's time to get back into the NHL after one of the worst cold streaks of my betting career leading up to the All-Star break. For the most part, teams across the league have been flat on the offensive end in their respective first games following the ASG (Boston included). I expect that to change on Thursday. Thatcher Demko has been confirmed in net for Vancouver, which is not ideal for picking the over here, but at the end of the day, these are two of the most prolific goal-scoring teams in the NHL.
Another FanDuel flip. Potential Stanley Cup Finals preview and in my mind this ends either 5-4 or 2-1. Boston was completely flat offensively in its first game post-break and that has been an issue at times this season. Now the B's face one of the league's best in net in Vezina candidate Thatcher Demko (presumably). He has won nine starts in a row with a 2.31 GAA and .925 save percentage in that span. That's why I'm not touching the Bruins on the moneyline even at a great price. The Under is 4-1 in their past five.
Boston's median price at home in the first half was -175.
Vancouver and Boston led their respective conference in points. Vancouver has 73 points after 50 games while the Bruins have 71 points in 50 games. Vancouver is 13-6 over their last 19 games while the Bruins are 6-4 over their last 10 home games.
