New Jersey has been fabulous on the road but will not debut recent trade acquisition Timo Meier (31 goals) quite yet. The Avs, meanwhile, have won six straight and apparently will welcome back star defenseman and reigning Norris Trophy winner Cale Makar from injury. Update: Makar despite skating this morning in a regular jersey will NOT play. Bummer. I'm still OK with this play but the confidence level isn't nearly as high with that surprising news and the Avs starting Justus Annunen in net.
