ANALYSIS: I've mostly turned around NBA and NCAA hoops after a slump, but I simply can't catch a break in the NHL. Eight times since last Monday, a home team I've backed has led a game by at least a goal and lost. Just stupid. This has to turn. The Predators are playing their best hockey of the season and will not have to deal with Auston Matthews tonight as the Leafs' superstar has a minor ailment. Matthews had a franchise-record 60 goals last season and has 20 along with 27 assists and a plus-17 rating this year. I'll take the Preds at -145 on the puckline now.
