The Flyers finally ended their 13-game losing streak by winning two consecutive games right before the All-Star break. Philadelphia should play hard tonight; the Flyers have a lot to prove both individually, and as a team, after that long stretch of losses. Detroit is scoring only 2.29 goals per game on the road this season. The Wings are 2-6-2 in Alex Nedeljkovic's last 10 starts on the road. Look for the Flyers to extend their win streak to three tonight.
Flyers have now put together a couple wins after their very long losing streak. Red Wings have lost 5 of 7 games themselves. Flyers have scored at least 3 goals in 4 of their last 5 games and the Red Wings are just 6-12-3 on the road. Flyers are still missing a bunch of key players, but they did get a couple back last game. Carter Hart hasn’t allowed more than 3 goals in 8 straight games. Take the Flyers at home.
I'm a tad surprised the Flyers are home dogs as Detroit isn't great, especially on the road, and Philly is starting to play better and get healthier -- winger Derick Brassard (11 points in 19 games) will play Wednesday for the first time since Jan. 6. Goaltender Carter Hart has won back-to-back starts and not allowed more than three goals since early January. Detroit is a stunningly bad 1-14 in its past five in the Land of Cheesesteaks (no whiz!).
