Super Bowl 57 Chiefs vs. Eagles odds: Travis Kelce most-wagered player in props market

Bettors are hammering several Travis Kelce props at Caesars Sportsbook.

Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce grabbed headlines following the AFC Championship Game win over the Bengals when he called out the trash-talking Cincinnati mayor live during the post-game on-field interviews. "Know your role and shut your mouth, you jabroni!" Kelce yelled, channeling Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's WWE days. Coincidence or not, three of the five most-wagered player props at Caesars Sportsbook for Super Bowl 57 are on Kelce against the Eagles.

Nos. 1 and 2 at Caesars are Kelce for an anytime touchdown at -114 and for the game's first touchdown at +550. Kelce had a career-high 12 touchdown catches during the regular season and has added three more in the postseason. His 15 career playoff TD catches are second-most all-time behind Jerry Rice's 22.

Both Kansas City and Philadelphia have scored the first touchdown in 12 of their 19 games this season including playoffs. Kelce has cashed as the first TD scorer in a team-high five Chiefs games, including in the Divisional Round vs. Jacksonville and the AFC title game against the Bengals.

A different position has scored the first TD in each of the past four Super Bowls. The last tight end to do it was Tampa Bay's Rob Gronkowski two years ago vs. the Chiefs. Overall, a tight end has scored the Super Bowl's first touchdown seven times. Receivers lead with 23.

Sitting at No. 5 in Caesars' most-wagered player props is Kelce at +490 to score at least two TDs. Believe it or not, at least one player has scored at least two touchdowns in the past three Super Bowls. Two did it last year: Rams wideout Cooper Kupp (won MVP) and Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. Including the playoffs, Kelce has three two-TD games this season.

This will be the first Super Bowl to feature brothers as players -- Travis's brother Jason Kelce is the starting center for the Eagles. Both played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati, both have one Super Bowl ring and both have been named an All-Pro and/or to the Pro Bowl at least four times. They are two of seven NFL players to be named First-Team All-Pro in at least four of the past seasons.

Caesars does have a Kelce brothers prop: Travis Kelce receiving yards at -6.5 (-140) vs. Jason Kelce snaps. The Eagles averaged 66.5 offensive plays per game in the regular season and Travis averaged 78.8 receiving yards. Travis has collected 53.2% of the tickets, but Jason has taken 54.3% of the handle.

"We found the only stat which we could use for an offensive lineman, which was snaps played," said Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading at Caesars Sportsbook. "We came up with a number around 70 that seemed to be Jason's average snaps played. Then we paired it up Travis' receiving yards, and we attached a spread to it. With Jason, his snaps are more finite versus Travis could be all over the place whether it's 40 or 120. Travis is definitely the more volatile option for this, the handicap is just how you think Travis will do."
