Eagles vs Texans predictions, player props, odds: Top NFL expert reveals player prop bet picks for Week 9 Thursday Night Football
The undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, led by MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, hit the road to take on the rebuilding Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in the first game on the Week 9 NFL schedule. The Eagles have emerged as one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the league and feature several dynamic playmakers like A.J. Brown, Miles Sanders, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. The Texans are rebuilding their roster, but do have some nice young talent, led by rookie running back Dameon Pierce and second-year quarterback Davis Mills. Kickoff is at 6:15 p.m. ET. Philadelphia is favored by 14 points in the latest Eagles vs. Texans odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the over/under is set at 45 points. In addition to the Texans vs Eagles point spread and Week 9 NFL betting lines, Caesars is also offering a plethora of prop bet options for this matchup on Thursday Night Football, and SportsLine NFL expert Jimmie Kaylor has just revealed his top plays.
Kaylor is a NFL and DFS expert for SportsLine, who opened the 2022 NFL season by winning DraftKings' NFL Showdown Thursday Kickoff Millionaire contest. He edged out over 355,000 other entrants in the contest and also has multiple five-figure tournament wins on his DFS resume. Kaylor, who has been cashing big all season, has covered the NFL and college football for close to a decade as a member of the Pro Football Writers of America, and his background as a former college and NFL player gives him a unique perspective when building his fantasy lineups and locking in his betting picks. Â
Kaylor has been spot-on all season, hitting on epic NFL DFS picks in primetime showdown matchups like Jerry Jeudy (4-102-1), Stefon Diggs (12-148-3), Amari Cooper (7-101-1), Nick Chubb (23-113-1), CeeDee Lamb (8-87-1), Deebo Samuel (6-115-1) Cooper Kupp (14-122), Travis Kelce (7-25-4), Davante Adams (3-124-2), Justin Fields (179-1-1, 82-1), Diggs again in Week 8 (6-106-1), and Chubb (23-101-2) and Cooper (5-131-1) again on MNF in Week 8. Anyone who has followed his picks is WAY UP!
Now, Kaylor has locked in on Eagles vs. Texans and just revealed his top three prop bet picks for this Week 9 NFL matchup.

A.J. Brown Over 70.5 receiving yards (-115)
A.J. Brown is coming off a monster performance (6-156-3) against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, and I'm expecting something similar against the Texans on Thursday night. Houston has struggled against top-tier wide receivers in 2022, and Brown will be arguably the most talented WR they've faced so far. Michael Pittman (9-121-1), Courtland Sutton (7-122), Mike Williams (7-120), and Davante Adams (8-95) all ran circles around the Houston secondary, and I'm expecting Brown to do the same.

Jake Elliott Over 2.5 made extra points (-174)
I don't love the -174 price tag on this one, but the value is too good to pass up. I see the Eagles scoring four or five touchdowns on Thursday night, and while head coach Nick Sirianni is known for being aggressive he won't go for two every time the Eagles score. Expect Elliott to have a minimum of three extra point attempts, and odds are he won't miss any of them.

Brandin Cooks Under 58.5 receiving yards (-137)
* Cooks (personal) is inactive for TNF
Cooks was nearly dealt at the trade deadline, and is quietly having a productive year for the Texans. The former first round pick is averaging 50.6 receiving yards per game in 2022, and I expect he'll fall short of that number on Thursday night. The Eagles have arguably the NFL's best secondary with an elite cornerback duo in Darius Slay and James Bradberry, and I have a hard time seeing Davis Mills getting enough time to connect with Cooks down the field.
