Not only does Rams coach Sean McVay put his starters in mothballs throughout the regular season, he apparently plans to ride with Stetson Bennett, his third-string QB who has struggled with off-the-field issues. Jimmy Garoppolo, backup to the ailing Matthew Stafford, has bankrolled enough experience that he does not need the work. McVay has managed to go 12-11-1 ATS in the preseason despite his approach, but most Rams games are close as evidenced by his 9-15 SU record. Being a new head coach, Dallas’ Brian Schottenheimer is an open book. The guess is, he would like to impress demanding owner Jerry Jones with a first-game win.
