It's very rare that I'll take a team as a double-digit road favorite, but everything points to a Ravens blowout here, and I have Baltimore as a 14-point victor. Seems like this will be a spot in which the Ravens roll out the full compliment of Lamar Jackson ahead of potentially sitting him in Week 17 once they lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC and an all-important bye. The Browns are ripe for the picking as the team appears to have given up on Freddie Kitchens (and can you blame them?). Baltimore big in this one.
The last game Baltimore lost was Sept. 29th at home versus the Cleveland Browns. Revenge is in the discussion on Sunday. Not only has Baltimore won 10 straight games, the Ravens are 7-1 ATS in their last eight contests. The Ravens have also done their best work on the road outscoring their opponents 33.7 to 18.4 and out gaining them 410 to 314. Baltimore has the No. 1 offense and No. 4 defense, plus the chance to sew up the AFC's No. 1 seed. Lay the points.
Circumstantial evidence suggests that Cleveland could be among the first teams to pack it in for the season. Several players reportedly want out of Brownstown, and the home team could raise a white flag if Baltimore pounces early. The Ravens are much healthier than Cleveland and will draw incentive from seeking to avenge a loss earlier in the season. A secondary motivation is to possibly clinch the AFC’s No. 1. seed, which would allow the Ravens to rest their regulars in Week 17. Back Baltimore.
Earlier in the season, the Browns hung 40 points on the Ravens. Cleveland looked poised to turn around its season. Well, that hasn't been the case. Since then, the Browns have been mediocre, and the Ravens have become the No. 1 scoring offense in the NFL with a top-five scoring defense to boot. Look for Baltimore to get its revenge against Cleveland.
The Ravens can wrap up the No. 1 seed with a win, plus they had extra rest following their Thursday night bludgeoning of the Jets. And, they have revenge on their minds. With the Browns in disarray, I'll lay the points.
