Understanding Public and Money

Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

Prop's Analysis:

DraftKings. Payton Pritchard is over this line in 19 of his last 27 games which he’s played with both Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. This includes three of the last four, notable as he’s been moved to the bench. Not only does the move to the bench not affect his minutes, but it’s increased his usage by staggering his court time with both Brown and White. He’ll face a Warriors defense that’s allowed 28 assists per game over the last 15 contests (seventh most).

Bruce's Analysis:

Maybe not quite the cavalry to the rescue, but Kristaps Porzingis apparently will make his Golden State debut tonight, able to face one of his old teams (the Celtics) to boot. Unfortunately, the Dubs would probably rather have Steph Curry available, but he's out with a sore knee, and with Jimmy Butler already gone for the year, and Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga recently traded (to Atlanta for Porzingis), we'll see who carries the baton for the Warriors, as they exit the All-Star break on a 1-5 spread downturn. Meanwhile, the Celtics, even minus Jayson Tatum, keep winning, behind only the Pistons in the East rankings, and hit the All-Star break winning six of seven, four of those wins by double digits. Play Celtics.
