Cleveland's offense has picked up the pace, with Donovan Mitchell's return from a brief absence helping in back-to-back wins over the Hornets and Pelicans. The Cavs hit a combined 54% FGs and scored 140 ppg across that pair of wins. The Knicks, however, aren't Charlotte or New Orleans, and will be in much better shape than they were two nights ago at Minnesota when both Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby sat out the 115-104 loss to the T-wolves. Now, they're both back and ready to go for the Christmas matinee. After winning 11 of 12, including the NBA Cup, the Knicks might have been due a brief pause, but giving Brunson and OG a night off should pay dividends here. Play Knicks

The Knicks are tougher on pick and roll scorers (11th fewest points allowed), and also permit the ninth fewest assists per game. Even without Evan Mobley available, this game strikes me more as a Donovan Mitchell spot, as he always looks to go off at Madison Square Garden. I’d bet this down to under 26.5 points plus assists.
