A tough slog lately for Orlando but a turnaround could be imminent. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner have both had a couple of weeks now to get used to playing alongside one another and the pair combined for 68 points (37 Wagner, 31 Banchero) in Monday's home loss to the Hawks. Results have yet to recover for Orlando but a look at recent scorelines with Paolo and Franz shows the offense is at least starting to percolate, and recent wins over the Kings and Spurs offer encouragement. Meanwhile, the Hornets are falling off of the map with losses in eight of nine and are likely to be minus top scorer LaMelo Ball (ankle) tonight at Kia Center. Play Magic

Franz Wagner is such a good young player -- and the Bulls could have had him if not for the Nikola Vucevic trade -- but this is a big number. Our model has him at 23.8 points and that's the highest of the models I check. This has blowout potential written all over it so the Magic have absolutely no need to push their guys ahead of the break. Wagner has played nearly 40 minutes in his past two games each. If this game stays close, yep, probably loses. I'm hoping Wagner's O/U minutes total is also around 27.5 tonight. Then we should win.
