Slowly but surely the Sixers are turning around their fortunes. Winners in five of six and nine of twelve, Philly is moving forward in the Eastern Conference queue, but its last three wins (including a stunner on Christmas at Boston) have all been by five points or fewer. Joel Embiid continues to feature, though as usual he makes it onto the daily injury update (foot and sinus fracture), and there are plenty of close games in the latest Philly uprising. Meanwhile the scrappy Blazers are making a bit of a fortress out of the Moda Center, having won three in a row as host, including wins vs. the Nuggets and Mavs, with four starters scoring 20 or more on Saturday vs. the latter. DraftKings. Joel Embiid is finally back in the lineup consistently for the Sixers, but he’s failed to clear this rebounding line in 8/10 games. While he continues to round into shape, he’s shown more of an apathy towards crashing the boards. And this is a below average matchup for rebounds, as Portland is allowing the 11th fewest rebounds to opposing centers.
