Norman Powell has been given the green light with the Clippers lacking scoring options. After posting a modest 20.0% usage rate last season, that mark has increased to 26.8% this year. He is also logging 34 minutes per game, which is eight minutes more per game than last season. The result has been him averaging 25.7 points. This a great matchup for him to remain productive, given that the Raptors have the second-worst defensive rating in the league.

As of yet we haven't noticed any adjustments from the oddsmakers to the obvious under pattern in Clips game which continued last night in Sacramento in the 107-98 LA win. In nine games, only in the two vs. Phoenix have the Clips landed on the over side, and one of those was an OT game on opening night. Otherwise, all seven games have landed over, as the Clips offseason strategy of adding defense-minded players like Derrick Jones, Nicolas Batum, and Kris Dunn, along with hiring Jeff Van Gundy as the "defensive coordinator," have resulted in lower scorelines.
