I faded LeBron James' point total last night because I figured no way the Lakers let him play heavy minutes off that NBA Cup title run, but he played 40 and unfortunately cost me $$ in a close loss in Dallas. I will be truly surprised if he plays here and ditto Anthony Davis, who played 37 minutes. Just feels like a rest spot with another game in San Antonio on Friday. Davis was to be evaluated anyways by the medical staff after appearing to tweak his hip. Obviously, the oddsmakers agree with me or this spread would be much higher. The Spurs are shockingly bad, but if they can't get fired up to face LeBron (in theory), then Gregg Popovich should retire.
