Houston's pointspread win streak came to a very painful conclusion last night when a needless foul by Alperen Sungun in the final 0.00.10 of the game in Dallas allowed the Mavs to push the final margin to six points in a game that was sitting 117-115 with just six seconds to play. Hardly a sell signal on the Rockets, who had covered their previous 11 games, even though they've yet to win outright (0-6) on the road. Bit surprised there's a lookahead number because Denver was without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon on Monday and they are ? here. Tend to think Jokic and Gordon play, and this feels moderately personal for the Nuggets as they have been beaten twice in Houston this season, including a rout last Friday. The Rockets also played a down-to-the-wire game Tuesday (we cashed fading them in Dallas; they are now 0-6 away). If I knew those 3 Nuggets were playing (and Murray might actually return but I doubt it), this would be a two-unit play. Obviously, the ML wouldn't be anywhere near as low, which is why playing now, but you get the drift. Since I don't know, we'll do a half unit.
