Randle has been terrific this season and is a big reason why the Knicks find themselves firmly entrenched in the playoff mix and are currently ten games over .500 in a very competitive Eastern Conference. That being said I expected this line to open somewhere between 23.5 and 24.5. The two time All-Star is scoring 25.0 PPG, however 26 points is a tall order against Miami. For starters, the Heat are ranked fourth in Defensive Efficiency and not only are they excellent defensively but they play at the third slowest pace in the league. This limits possessions and potential scoring opportunities and unsurprisingly Miami surrender the second fewest points in the NBA (108.6). New York also plays slow (24th in possessions per game) and this game has an anemic total of just 215 points. Randle has failed to score 26 points in five consecutive games against Miami and I believe that streak moves up to six after tonight.
