Both of these teams have improved in the month of January, but just because the Pelicans are playing better doesn't mean they're playing well. In fact, while they've improved offensively, defensively they've become less efficient. I do have some concerns about the Nuggets in the midst of a long road trip, but they're the much better team, and this line is a little short.

Well, I'm going to have to roll the dice here. I wouldn't bet Denver on the road at this number if the Pels were healthy, but they are listing Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and now Jonas Valanciunas as questionable, and I don't think any will play. The first two are hurt and both missed practice Thursday, while JV was just downgraded with an illness and that's never a good sign.
