The price here on Randy Arozarena to have at least two total bases tonight in Coors Field is showing some solid value at nearly even money here on Draftkings. He continues to rake in September, tallying three hits last night and four total bases, and will now face a lefty tonight. Jose Quintana comes off the IL for the Rockies to make this start after allowing five hits and three runs in less than three innings during his last rehab start. Arozarena is hitting better than .300 this year against southpaws, so I love the matchup for this hot hitter against the veteran returning to MLB action, as well as the Rockies bullpen later in the game.
I'm going to fade Bryce Miller on the road in Coors Field and bet that he doesn't get into the 6th inning here. He's continually gone under this total of late, and now we put him in the toughest ballpark in the majors for pitchers. The M's starter has been significantly worse outside of Seattle both in his career and this year, so I'm betting he has trouble at some point whether the park or the lefties in the order. Miller's worse side of the split all year is to lefties, allowing a .254 average as opposed to righties hitting under .200, so guys like Mickey Moniak could do some damage here.
The Rockies haven't scored five runs in three straight home games. However, they did score five-plus runs in six straight prior to that; they average 5.1 rpg at Coors all season. Mariners RHP Bryce Miller has a 7.29 ERA over his last seven starts, the Mariners' bullpen ERA this month is 4.64, and the Rockies own an .856 home OPS in September.
Caesar’s. It’s been the tale of two halves for Bryce Miller. Before the All Star break, the righty pitched to a 2.18 ERA, and after, a 6.52 ERA. He’s under this line in 8/10 starts coming out of the break, struggling specifically with his command of late (16 walks over his last four games). He’ll be pitching at Coors Field against a Rockies team that has predictably mashed at home (.865 OPS over the last 30 days at home versus righties). With the Mariners having essentially nothing to play for, there is no need to push the injury prone Miller in what’s likely his second to last start of the season.
