Tolle has been fantastic for the Sox, especially on the road where he’s pitched to a 2.83 ERA. He should acquit himself nicely in the Sutter Health Park bandbox as he largely suppresses hard contact. Aroldis Chapman and Garrett Whitlock are both fully rested behind the Sox lefty tonight. For the A’s, Jack Perkins has really struggled in the hitter-friendly conditions, with a 7.41 ERA. Overall, the A’s have lost 8/9 games in which Perkins has pitched at least four innings.
