I’m comfortable taking a big number here on Logan Webb who continues to work deep into games, especially when pitching at the friendly confines of Oracle Park. Webb will face an Angels lineup that has performed poorly throughout the season, in addition to ranking bottom 10 in wOBA over the last 30 days and on the season. I like Webb’s chances of putting in another 7 IP today.

Logan Webb would have completed seven innings last time if not for a tough final few batters and a crushing three run homer to tie the game. He got through six innings with just 88 pitches before things unraveled with two outs in the 7th, so I like him to continue the trend tonight of doing well at home and pitching deeper into games for a Giants pitching staff that needs length from him each time. Webb likely faces a righty heavy order too, and they are hitting just .204 against him, making this the better side of his split. Fanduel and MGM have far better prices here so I would play it there.

In his last seven home starts for the Giants (excluding Opening Day against the Yankees), Logan Webb has thrown at least 7 innings in six of them. And its not as if he even needs to pitch well for manager Tony Vitello to leave him in the game. Against Toronto on July 8th, Webb gave up five runs in the first inning and still managed to throw an additional six frames. Current Angels hitters are batting a collective 8-for-33 against Webb (.242 average), so I believe San Francisco's ace will once again find a way to pitch deep into the game against them on Friday night.
