FanDuel. After going through today’s Cubs lineup which surprisingly included two lefties and no Carson Kelly, I love this spot for Jesus Luzardo. Look for the Phillies lefty to cover this line at home, for the fourth straight game, against a Cubs squad striking out at a 27% clip against southpaws this season.

The Cubs have struck out 26.9% of the time against lefties this season and it makes sense with lefties Michael Busch, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Moises Ballesteros featured prominently, offensively. Jesus Luzardo is very K-heavy, too, with 26 in 17 1/3 innings this year. Last year, he struck out 15 Cubs in 12 innings.
Jesus Luzardo is in a funk for the Phils, allowing five-plus runs in two of his three starts. Both of his duds were at home, and he was worse at Citizens Bank Park last year as well. If the Cubs’ bats can keep it going (they’ve scored 7+ in three straight), Shota Imanaga, who’s given up one run over his last two starts, can limit a Philly lineup that’s 27th vs. LHPs. There’s value in the road dog here.
