The Pirates are probably glad they didn't trade Mitch Keller, as the 30-year-old is off to a dominant start. With increased use of a changeup, Keller sports a 1.00 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. Pittsburgh should have success against struggling Miles Mikolas (12.41 ERA) and an already-depleted Washington bullpen. Back the Pirates, who are 9-3 in their last 12 games, on the run line.

Miles Mikolas is 0-3 with a 12.41 ERA in three starts, and he’s backed by the worst bullpen in baseball. The Pirates put 16 runs up vs. the Nats last night. They shouldn’t need that many here. Mitch Keller has given up just two runs over 18 innings.

He may not be the Pirates' ace (or anywhere close to it), but Mitch Keller is off to a flying start in 2026. Three starts, six innings each, and only two total runs given up. Since the beginning of last season, Keller is 13-6 to the over 16.5 outs when pitching at home. While the Nationals roster has a collective .321 average against Keller, I believe the Pirates starter continues his excellent start to 2026 and pitches at least six innings tonight.
