Minnesota is averaging 3.0 runs per game and the Royals only 2.2 runs per game to kick off the season and the wind will be blowing in tonight. This is Noah Cameron’s first start this year but owned a 2.93 home ERA last season. Minnesota only hit .235 last season on the road against lefties and only hitting .130 thus far, small sample size. However, the Twins are 12-35 SU in their last 47 games when facing a lefty.
Bit of a mixed bag in the early going -- stupid Reds bullpen, yay Cubs -- so I will add a night play. As I've said a few times, I'll be fading the Twins an absolute ton on the road this season and the only time a bit concerned is when ace Joe Ryan is on the hill, which is tonight. So I do like the Under as well, but that Twins lineup is so bad I still don't believe Minny should be favored in Kansas City. Royals counterpart Noah Cameron was terrific as a rookie in 2025 at 9-7 with a 2.99 ERA. Against the Twins, he was 1-0 with a 0.73 ERA in 12.1 innings. It might rain.
It's a battle of the 29th- and 30th-ranked offenses in MLB. Kansas City hasn't had a game yet that totaled over eight runs. Minnesota has had just one so far, but all its others were between 3-5 runs. Twins ace Joe Ryan can keep a potentially potent KC lineup down. Royals starter Noah Cameron makes his debut, but Minnesota doesn't have the offense to put too many crooked numbers up.
