Abbott struck out seven batters last time he faced this lineup and despite Nolan Gorman likely sitting in place of the lower strikeout Brendan Donovan, I still think we can get a 5th strikeout. He's pushed some of his strikeout numbers higher of late, with 5+ strikeouts in six straight starts, and five of six going over this line. The underlying metrics are nothing to write home about but the Cardinals feature four righties with at least a 25% strikeout rate vs. lefties and Abbott should have an edge over the lefties, even if they are the ones with lower strikeout rates. Only real worry is the extra work last time out, but the Reds can't mess around since they need every win right now.
