The LA Dodgers lost in walk off fashion Friday to the Orioles, which marked their fourth straight loss. After scoring just one run they will now see arguably the sharpest pitcher in MLB in Trevor Rogers. Rogers has seen his Orioles team win ten out of his last twelve starts, with the two losses being when the Orioles did not score a run. This is the spot for the Dodgers to break out of their slump, and also end Rogers twelve game streak of allowing two runs or less. Take the Dodgers.
The Dodgers can be thankful that the chasing Padres are slumping because LA is doing just the same in a current four-game skid. The Blue offense has stalled almost in its tracks, scoring runs in only 2 of the last 27 innings after last night's 2-1 loss in Baltimore. Now the Dodgers must try to solve the consistently excellent Trevor Rogers, who allowed just one earned run in each of his six August starts (1.29 ERA for the month) after posting a 1.03 ERA in four July starts. Add up the season and he's spinning a 1.39 ERA...not too shabby! The Birds are also on a four-game uptick and seeking to reprise their 1966 World Series sweep of the Blue. Play Orioles on Run Line
