Caesar’s. This is a big line for Cade Povich, who has both struggled with his effectiveness (5.13 ERA, 5.57 xERA) and efficiency (4.04 pitches per plate appearance) this season. He’ll face off against a potent Red Sox lineup today. As is, Povich is under this line in eleven of fifteen starts.

Maybe the Bosox want to stick around Baltimore a bit longer as they're on the verge of a four-game sweep of the Birds. Baltimore is already having enough trouble scoring runs in this series (just five across the past three games) and it has yet to face Sox ace Garett Crochet...until this afternoon. Bad news for the Birds, perhaps, as Crochet is in the middle of the AL Cy Young conversation with his 14-5 record (most wins in the league) and 2.38 ERA; road numbers include a 10-2 record. The Red Sox have won six of seven while the Orioles have lost six of seven. Perhaps some are thinking things might even out a little here, but the Orioles are cooked while the Red Sox are surging for the AL East title. Plus, it's Garrett Crochet vs. Cade Povich (5.13 ERA). Everything here tells me a multi-run Red Sox win.
