Pitching to a 5.24 ERA, FanGraphs has his Stuff+ at 97, a full 20 basis points below what it was at his peak levels (120 in 2022, and 117 in 2023). He’s under this outs line in 10 of 17 starts, including each of his last five. His three August outings have been atrocious, allowing 29 hits and 20 earned runs in just 11.2 innings. With an eye towards next season, the Braves would be wise to monitor Strider’s workload the rest of this season. Signs point to them doing just that, as they brought up two relievers from the minors in advance of today’s game.
