Looks to be a wash afternoon so far with the Tigers rolling but Brewers losing. The Jays are at the end of a trip, starting to miss the injured George Springer in the lineup/having a Coors Field hangover and been massacred the first two of this series (scoring two total runs). Meaning all the high-leverage Dodgers relievers are ready behind Tyler Glasnow. He has allowed one ER in three straight home outings and has a 1.97 ERA at Dodger Stadium on the year. Jays lefty Eric Lauer has been a godsend for them in 2025 but is pitching so far over his head that it has to end eventually one would think. And his road/day splits are a bit worse. Toronto is under .500 away.
The Blue Jays probably can't wait to get out of LA as they've looked spooked this weekend at Chavez Ravine, whipped by the Dodgers the past two nights with the bats going silent, scoring only two runs total in a pair of heavy defeats. If the offense doesn't stir, the job for starter Eric Lauer becomes all that tougher, but that's what we see happenign against Tyler Glasnow, who is looking sharper by the outing since being activated in early July, and off seven innings of one-run, three-hit ball vs. the Cards last Monday. Lauer's recent efforts have been nearly as good, with a 2.57 ERA since the beginning of July, but dynamics look all wrong for Toronto this weekend. Play Dodgers on Run Line
