Jacob Lopez has been inconsistent this season but the Rangers have been leading the majors in strikeouts against lefties over the last 14 days. Texas also leads the league in with allowing 3.5 runs per game to this point.

So much for the June hot streak of A's starter Jacob Lopez, whose star has lost its shine after three bumpy starts in a row in which his ERA has been 6.39. That's more in line with the high-scoring nature of the A's, whose scorelines have cleared 8.5 runs in eight of their last nine games, and 13-3 across the last 16 games. Meanwhile, Jack Leiter is at the back of the Rangers rotation for a reason, as he owns a 5.96 ERA across his last six starts, while the A's offense remains capable of bunching many runs, averaging nearly 6 across the past nine games.
