Perhaps it's time for a course correction both ways this weekend if last night's 8-0 Phils win at CBP is any indication. Ranger Suarez continued his recent dominant ways on the mound for Philly, though in the past couple of weeks, Christopher Sanchez hasn't been much worse, in fact with a solid 2.83 ERA in seven starts since the beginning of May. Meanwhile, after winning 12 of 14, last night might signal that the Blue Jays could be due for some cooling off, especially with struggling Bowden Francis (18.00 ERA and 3.80 WHIP last two starts) on the mound this afternoon. Philadelphia scored eight runs on Friday thanks to a Kyle Schwarber home run and seven hits from the 5-9 hitters. Bryce Harper is still out so they need all the production they can get from the bottom of the order, and with Schwarber hitting bombs again, I'm taking Philly against the struggling Bowden Francis. He's allowed 19 home runs in just 60 innings, partially because of high barrel and hard hit rates, with hitters pulling the ball with authority at a high clip. That is a recipe for giving up runs, and Cristopher Sanchez has been great of late, coming up one out short of having a quality start in six of his last seven.
