While Sundays are definitely weird around MLB, I try and jump on a matchup that features a team at the end of a longish road trip and one about to embark on one. That's here. The former is eager to get home, see wives, kids, pets, etc., and you often see a key player get a game off in this spot. The latter wants to build momentum ahead of a tough trek. Lefty Andrew Heaney has been real solid for Pittsburgh but perhaps is starting to regress as he was hammered last time out in Arizona. A fair amount of Padres have good splits off him led by Xander Bogaerts (10-for-18, five XBH). I'm going to go look at Bogaerts O/U total bases now ...
