A strong pattern in MLB is not only riding a team during their hot streak, but fading once the winning streak ends. The LA Angels enjoyed a strong eight game winning streak where they won seven of those eight games on the road. Miami ended that streak yesterday, and are having success at the plate with four or more runs in both games against the Angels. Look for that success to continue against Kyle Hendricks. Tail the Marlins here.
Where we just dreaming that the Angels had an eight-game win streak? It almost seems so after the uptick came to a quick halt last night after their 8-game win streak was halted by Cal Quantrill and Miami's bullpen last night. What intrigues about Miami in this series is the success they're having at the plate, banging out 25 hits the past two nights and breaking thru to win on Saturday. The last couple of starts by Edward Cabrera haven't been that bad as his 3.44 ERA is good enough to help the Marlins win some games, while the Halos' Kyle Hendricks isn't fooling many in recent starts, with a 5.49 ERA across his last three outings on the mound.
