Marcell Ozuna has now homered in back to back games and his home runs tend to come in bunches once he gets hot. Ozuna is two for eight lifetime against Mitchell Parker but what the numbers don't show is the near home run that was hit at 110+ mph last time these two faced, and the fact that Parker was pulled right before Ozuna could face him for a third time. If not against Parker, who tends to get more ground balls, I want at least a little something on Ozuna to go deep while I also play the over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI for (-135 on MGM).
The Braves are much better anyway, having gone 19-10 since April 16. Now they get Spencer Strider back on the mound and Ronald Acuna Jr. back in the lineup which provides a mental boost as well as the obvious on-field upgrade. They face Mitchell Parker of the Nats, who they hit hard last time.
Not so easy here for the Nats like it was on the weekend when they were gifted the skidding Orioles in Baltimore, taking advantage to record a three-game sweep at Camden Yards. Things get much tougher this week and especially tonight as the Braves have activated Spencer Strider off of the DL (hamstring) to make his second start of the season, while Atlanta has crept back above .500 with wins in five of seven. Note Strider was 3-0 in three starts vs. Washington when he last saw the Nats in 2023, while Mitchell Parker has cooled off in the rotation for Dave Martinez, as his 9.68 ERA across his last four starts for Washington would suggest.
