Dynamics might be different this afternoon as A's starter Jeffrey Springs has had a rough go of it lately, allowing 13 runs (9 earned), 12 hits and 6 walks across 8 1/3 IP in his last two starts (8.64 ERA and 2.16 WHIP) while getting shelled by the Brewers and Chisox, Meanwhile, Rangers' Tyler Mahle posted an 0.90 ERA in five April starts. Texas has lost six of eight but has Tyler Mahle (3-0) on the mound to close this series. While his numbers are sensational, Mahle has been fortunate, sporting an expected ERA of 3.51 compared to his actual ERA of 1.14. Mahle has stranded over 87 percent of his baserunners, which is bound to regress. A's lefty Jeffrey Springs has been unlucky, posting a 6.04 ERA with an expected ERA of 4.32. Back the A's, who have won six of eight, to at least be tied through five innings.
