We usually don't have to blink to go against the Chisox, whatever the price (often on the RL), but are positively overjoyed at what we're seeing for Saturday. The Pale Hose seem to get some premium attached from the oddsmakers for Garrett Crochet, even though he posted a 4.85 ERA in July and angered higher-ups in the organization with his trade demands (or prerequisites) before the deadline. The Sox have also lost in seven of his last eight starts, not to mention a numbing 18 straight overall to fall behind the win pace of the infamous '62 Mets. Glad to be a beneficiary is the Twins' big Bailey Ober, who has spun a 1.86 ERA across his last seven starts. Play Twins on Run Line
We are getting the vastly superior team -- then again, my intramural softball team in college was better than the White Sox and we were co-ed and often hammered -- at a good price simply for Garrett Crochet. I can almost guarantee you he will not be out there long. In fact, if the books give us an O/U outs prop at anything above 15.5 I'm going Under big. Crochet is the key to the future in terms of an offseason trade. It would be criminal to let him pitch very long but then again these are the White Sox. I'd shut him down now. Crochet does seem to be fading a bit having blasted through his previous career high in innings.
