It would be reasonable to conclude that Civale is running hot and above expectations on strikeouts. Civale does have a plus matchup against a Cubs lineup that has struck out a lot, however Chicago has been stingier as of late and over the last 3 weeks sport a 23.2% K Rate which is good for 14th and is essentially a league average strikeout rate.
