I project a maximum of 18 outs and asking Skenes to K 8 Dodgers is too much. Under
The Dodgers at plus money? With Paxton? I’ll play it and against Skenes.
No reason to feint surprise at the Dodgers getting blanked 1-0 last night at PNC Park...the Blue hitters have been struggling for a few weeks now, scoring more than four runs only against the Mets across their last nine games. For six or so innings tonight, they could also get tied up by the Bucs' LSU rookie flamethrower Paul Skenes, who seems to get more impressive with each start (and with a 1.50 ERA his last three). On the plus side for LA, the pitching staff has allowed just 11 runs the past seven games, and James Paxton capable of a serviceable five or six innings tonight. Play Dodgers-Pirates "Under"
Tuesday, the LA Dodgers for the fourth time in Tyler Glasnow’s last five starts lost. As odd as that has been with James Paxton on the mound they have been the opposite winning six of his last seven outings. As dominant as Paul Skenes has been this is a much different lineup than facing Detroit, San Francisco, or the Cubs. Take the Dodgers to bounce back on the moneyline.

I'm willing to bet against Paul Skenes because of this price/line combo. When you look at his eye-popping underlying metrics, it's tough to want to bet against him but in four MLB starts, Skenes has never gone over six innings and it seems the plan to keep him capped, which should help our cause. Asking for eight strikeouts is a lot for most pitchers but for Skenes it's easily attainable, so I'm keeping this to 0.5u until we see more on where his numbers settle for MLB action. In my opinion this line should be at 6.5 or 30-40 cents worse, so there is value on the under here. Once the under gets past -145, I'd rather just sit this one out.

Paul Skenes is having a tremendous rookie season and appears to be as good as advertised. Skenes will face his toughest test yet when he faces a Dodgers lineup that is 2nd in the majors in OPS. I believe this number should be 6.5 considering the matchup.
